privacy notice
This notice covers this website, where you can read about yourhostsophie and ask for early access. We are the controller for the information described here.
Once you have a website on the platform, our privacy notice for site owners and admins applies to you. If you are visiting a website on the platform, see our privacy notice for visitors and that website's own notice at /privacy.
What we collect and why
- Early access requests: the email address you give us, and when you gave it. We use it to invite you to the platform, tell you about early access and let you know when we launch.
- Server logs: your IP address, browser details, the page requested and the time. We use these to keep the website secure and to fix problems.
- Messages you send us: anything you tell us when you contact us.
This website does not use cookies, advertising or tracking. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when you visit.

terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and S. Digital & Creative when you use yourhostsophie to build and run a website. By creating a website on the platform, you agree to them.
The service
We give you a website, an admin console to build and edit it, and hosting to keep it online. The features available to you depend on your plan.
Early access
The platform is still being tested. During early access:
- things may break, change or be missing, and we may need to take the platform offline to fix them;
- we do not charge you anything;
- when we officially launch, your first 3 months on a paid plan are free.
We will tell you before early access ends and before we start charging you, so you can choose a plan or leave.
Plans and payment
After launch, plans start from £5 a month. Prices and what each plan includes are shown before you choose one. You pay monthly in advance, and you can cancel at any time. Your website stays online until the end of the month you have paid for, and we do not refund part-months.
If we change our prices, we will tell you at least 30 days before the change applies to you, so you can cancel first.
If you are a consumer, you have 14 days from when you first pay to cancel and get a full refund. If you ask us to start the service straight away and then cancel within those 14 days, we may keep a fair amount for the time you used.
Your account
You must be 18 or over to have a website on the platform. Keep your sign-in details safe and do not share them. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by people or apps you give access to. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
Your content
Everything you put on your website stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy and show it only so we can host your website and run the platform. That permission ends when your content is deleted from the platform.
You are responsible for your website and what is on it, including:
- having the right to use everything you publish, including photos of other people, who must have agreed to them being published;
- following the law where you and your visitors are, including age checks where the law requires them;
- your website's own privacy notice, and how you handle your visitors' information. We handle it for you as your processor, under our data processing agreement.
What you must not do
You must not use the platform to:
- publish anything showing or involving anyone under 18, or anyone who has not agreed to it;
- publish anything that is illegal in the UK, or help anyone break the law, including trafficking, exploitation or coercion;
- harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, or share someone's private information without their agreement;
- publish content you do not have the rights to;
- send spam, spread malware, or try to get into accounts, websites or systems that are not yours;
- overload, disrupt or work around the limits of the platform.
We do not decide what lawful work you do or how you describe it. These rules are about keeping people safe and the platform working.
Suspending or ending your website
You can leave at any time. Before you go, you can ask us for a copy of your website's content and data.
We may suspend or remove content, or your website, if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect people or the platform. Where we can, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it. If we decide to stop running the platform, we will give you at least 60 days' notice and help you take your content with you.
After your website leaves the platform, we delete its data after a short recovery period, as our privacy notice for site owners explains.
Our responsibility to you
We will provide the platform with reasonable care and skill. We work hard to keep your website online and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we recommend you keep your own copies of anything important.
If you use the platform for your business, we are not responsible for lost profits, lost business or lost data, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and nothing in these terms affects them. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform changes. We will tell you about any important change at least 30 days before it applies. If you do not agree, you can leave before then.
Law and disputes
If something goes wrong, please contact us first and we will try to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
